In her newly appointed position, Mortimer will continue to oversee Advertising Week\u2019s global thought leadership and education programs. Her role will expand to include marketing and branded and digital content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mortimer has been instrumental in establishing the event-based Advertising Week into a global, year-round hub for content, education and thought leadership for the marketing, advertising, media and technology industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cRuth has been an incredible addition to Advertising Week since she joined in 2019.\u00a0 As a leader, innovator and mentor to the team, she is the perfect person to help lead Advertising Week into our next phase of global and digital growth,\u201d says Lance Pillersdorf, Advertising Week Co-Founder. \u201cMatt and I couldn&#8217;t be happier to appoint her as Global President, and I couldn&#8217;t be more excited to learn from her and work alongside her in the coming years.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mortimer joined Advertising Week in April 2019 as Managing Director, Global Education and Development, to lead AWLearn, Advertising Week\u2019s education platform, and Advertising Week&#8217;s global thought leadership programs. Before joining Advertising Week, Mortimer held many roles in managing content businesses and product development. She was managing partner at award-winning digital marketing training business Econsultancy, where she oversaw product development and thought leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAdvertising Week has a unique perspective, uniting business and culture.
